Where can I take my graduation photos?

You can choose between an on-campus graduation photography session or a studio portrait session. On-campus sessions are great for incorporating recognizable buildings, university signs, landmarks, classrooms, and other locations connected to your college experience. Studio sessions provide a more controlled, polished portrait environment.

Can I bring my friends to my graduation photoshoot?

Absolutely. Graduation is often a shared experience, and your friends may have been part of the journey that got you here. You can include friends in portions of your graduation session for group portraits, candid moments, cap tosses, and other celebratory photographs.

If several graduates want individual portraits in addition to group photos, let us know on the inquiry form so we can recommend enough session time.

Can my family be included in my graduation pictures?

Yes. Parents, grandparents, siblings, children, partners, mentors, and other important people can be incorporated into your session. We recommend letting us know beforehand approximately how many people you would like photographed so we can plan accordingly.

Do you offer graduation photography packages?

Yes. We offer graduation photography packages designed around different session lengths, image needs, and experiences. However, you do not have to purchase a package to work with us.

Graduation photography pricing starts at $140, with additional options available depending on the session you want.

Can I book something smaller than a graduation package?

Yes. If one of our complete graduation packages includes more than you need, you can inquire about our starting photography options. Our goal is to give graduates flexibility instead of requiring everyone to purchase the same experience.

Can I take graduation photos on my college campus?

Yes. We photograph graduates on college and university campuses throughout Chicago and Chicagoland. Your campus can provide meaningful backgrounds such as university signage, academic buildings, libraries, residence halls, quads, courtyards, and other locations connected to your experience.

Do you photograph graduates from any college or university?

Yes. We work with graduates from universities, community colleges, graduate programs, professional programs, certificate programs, and other educational institutions. You do not have to attend a particular school to book a graduation session.

Do you photograph master's and doctoral graduates?

Absolutely. Graduate and professional degrees deserve to be documented, too. We photograph bachelor's, master's, doctoral, professional, and certificate graduates and can incorporate your hood, regalia, cords, stole, tam, diploma cover, and other academic distinctions.

Can you photograph me in both my graduation outfit and regular clothes?

Yes. Depending on the session you select, you can incorporate multiple looks. Many graduates choose photographs in full graduation regalia as well as professional, formal, cultural, or more casual attire that represents their personality.

Can I bring props to my graduation photoshoot?

Yes. Props can make your graduation portraits more personal. Popular options include:

• School or organization stoles

• Champagne or sparkling cider

Can you create a custom graduation stole?

Yes. If you would like a custom graduation stole, indicate that on your inquiry form. Custom stoles can add another personal element to your portraits and graduation celebration.

Because customized products require additional preparation, we recommend requesting them as early as possible.

Do you make custom graduation caps?

Yes. In addition to photography, we can discuss custom graduation caps and other personalized graduation items. If you're interested, select or mention custom graduation items on your inquiry form so we can discuss your idea, design needs, pricing, and turnaround time.

Can my custom graduation items match the theme of my photoshoot?

Yes. When possible, we can coordinate customized items with your school colors, degree, organization, personal message, graduation year, or overall photoshoot concept. Include what you have in mind on your inquiry form so we can determine what is possible.

When should I schedule my graduation photos?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for April, May, and June graduation sessions. Campus locations become increasingly busy as commencement approaches, and popular dates and times can fill quickly.

Booking earlier can also give you enough time to receive photographs for graduation announcements, invitations, social media, and other celebrations.

Should I take graduation pictures before or after commencement?

Either works, but photographing your session before graduation gives you more opportunities to use your images for announcements, invitations, graduation posts, and commencement celebrations.

Post-graduation sessions are also available for graduates who want a more relaxed experience after commencement.

What happens if it rains during my outdoor graduation session?

Chicago weather can change quickly. If conditions make an outdoor session impractical, we can discuss available options, which may include adjusting the location, moving indoors when permitted, or rescheduling depending on the circumstances and availability.

Do I need permission to take professional photos on campus?

Photography policies vary by college and university. Some campuses allow portrait photography freely in outdoor areas, while others may require permission, reservations, permits, or fees for certain buildings and locations.

Graduates are responsible for confirming any photography restrictions that apply to their requested location, but we're happy to work within your school's requirements.

Can you recreate a graduation photo idea I found online?

You can absolutely send inspiration. We can use your references to understand the look, posing, mood, or concept you're interested in while creating photographs that still feel personal to you rather than simply duplicating someone else's session.

Do you help with posing?

Yes. You don't need professional modeling experience. We provide direction throughout your session with posing, positioning, movement, expressions, cap-and-gown placement, and other details so you can feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Can you photograph a group of graduates together?

Yes. Group graduation sessions are available for friends, classmates, student organizations, cohorts, fraternity and sorority members, and other graduating groups. We can capture the entire group while also planning individual portraits when sufficient session time is reserved.

Can I use my graduation photos for LinkedIn or my career?

Yes, and this is a great time to think beyond commencement.
